MINISTER OF CULTURE, SPORTS, TOURISM AND YOUTH OF MONGOLIA, NOMIN CH., MEETS WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia, Mrs. Nomin Ch., held a meeting with the Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of the State Council Information Office of China, Mo Gaoyi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Mongolia, Shen Minjuan, Director of the Information Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Zhou Aibing, and other delegates.

The discussions centered on fostering favorable travel conditions through improved roads and railways, as well as exploring opportunities for developing cross- border tourism. Within this framework, the parties expressed their interest in approving the joint tourism route, the "Great Tea Road," established by Mongolia, China, and Russia, and cooperating to have it inscribed on UNESCO’s cultural heritage list. They also emphasized their commitment to increasing private sector participation in the initiative.


Both sides agreed to explore collaborative opportunities by drawing on the experience of the Harbin Sports Complex to support the development of winter tourism in Mongolia.
Additionally, the parties discussed the mutual protection of intellectual property rights for Mongolian artists’ creative works on Chinese social media platforms, such as "WeChat" and "Youku." The proposal to organize a concert featuring Mongolian artists in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, was also considered.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides underscored the significance of the "National Arts Grand Theater" and the "President" Sports Complex projects in Mongolia, which are being actively implemented with Chinese investment. The parties expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation in the fields of culture, sports, tourism and youth development will continue to deepen and expand.
