CHILDREN'S AND YOUTH THEATER TO BE RECONSTRUCTED

2021-06-01 361

At the Cabinet meeting on June 1, 2021, it was decided to turn the district's Palace of Culture building under construction in the 5th khoroo of Songinokhairkhan district of the capital city into a children's and youth theater.

The decision was made to support the intellectual development of children and youth, to provide aesthetic education, to teach children and youth about the development of world theater and art, to develop national art, and to create conditions for other artistic trends.

Construction is currently 65 percent complete and is scheduled to be completed in December 2021.

For example, the Drama Theater for Children and Youth was established in 1951 under the name "Children's Central Theater" with a cast of 13 actors.

In 1967, it was expanded to become a “Children and Youth Theater” and in 1991, the theater was managed under a management contract.

It has been privatized since 1997 on the condition that it sells its state-owned shares. As a result, the theater ceased to exist and was unable to produce professional art for children and young people.
