MINISTER J.ALDARJAVKHLAN MEETS WITH UNDP RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE MS. MATILDA DIMOVSKA

Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Mr. Aldarjavkhlan Jukov received Ms. Matilda Dimovska, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Mongolia.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Mr. Aldarjavkhlan Jukov outlined the Ministry's priorities and planned initiatives in the field of youth development, emphasizing the Government's commitment to strengthening support for youth empowerment and expanding opportunities for young people's social participation.

The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in youth development and the promotion of sustainable eco-tourism. They also discussed opportunities for collaboration in connection with the 17th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP17), which Mongolia will host this year.

In particular, they explored the possibility of jointly organizing side events during COP17 to showcase Mongolia's rich cultural heritage, folk traditions, and traditional arts to the international community, while encouraging the active participation of young people.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and closely aligning initiatives in the fields of culture, sports, tourism, and youth development.
