DEPUTY MINISTER OF CULTURE, SPORTS, TOURISM AND YOUTH OF MONGOLIA, MR. DASHNYAM GANZORIG, MET WITH H.E MIKHAIL VLADIMIROVICH DEGTYAREV, MINISTER OF SPORT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia, Mr. Dashnyam Ganzorig, held a meeting with H.E. Mikhail Vladimirovich Degtyarev, Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation, in Moscow on 10 February 2026.
The meeting was attended by leaders of relevant organizations from both sides and other officials. The parties exchanged comprehensive views on bilateral cooperation and relations in the field of physical culture and sports.
During the discussion, the two sides agreed to support the mutual participation of athletes in sporting events hosted in Mongolia and Russia, with particular emphasis on judo, freestyle wrestling, and basketball. They also reaffirmed their commitment to collaborating on strengthening human resource capacity in the sector and on improving access to physical education.

At the end of the meeting, the two ministers signed the Action Plan for Cooperation between Mongolia and the Russian Federation in the Field of Physical Culture and Sports for 2026–2028. Within the framework of the plan, the sides aim to broaden sectoral cooperation and jointly organize a range of sports events and competitions over the coming years.
