PRESIDENT H.BATTULGA AWARDS SUKHBAATAR MEDAL TO THE GREAT NATIONAL THEATER OF ART

The President of Mongolia, Battulga Khaltmaa, issued a decree awarding the National Theater of Arts with the highest state award, the Sukhbaatar Order.
In his speech after the award ceremony, President Kh. Battulga said, “Dear artists, bearers of national art and heritage, the history of the National Song and Dance Ensemble dates back to the time of the Great Yuan Dynasty and Kublai Khan. Documents such as the Secret History of Mongolia, the Yuan Dynasty Scriptures, the Golden Key, and the notes of Marco Polo and Plano Carpini, travelers of the time, show that Kublai Khan's palace had more than 600 musicians, large, small, and small.
