MEETING OF THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF CULTURE AND ART UNDER THE PRIME MINISTER

The “National Council of Culture and Arts” was re-established by the Prime Minister's Decree No. 72 of 2021 and its first meeting was held.
The Ministry of Culture organized the first meeting of the new composition of the National Council online today, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Culture M.Batbayar. More than 80 percent of the members actively participated in the conference and were contacted by members living and working in the United States and the United Kingdom.
The Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene is the Chairman of the National Council, the Deputy Chairman is the Minister of Culture Ch.Nomin, the Secretary is the Director of the Strategy and Policy Planning Department of the Ministry of Culture L.Munbat and the Executive Director of the Arts Council of Mongolia, producer of Gurumedia LLC Ts. Ariunaa was appointed to work.
At today's meeting, all members of the National Council for Culture and Arts were introduced, and the members were introduced to the rules of procedure, rights, responsibilities and activities of the council, as well as the National Council's plan for 2019-2020 and its implementation results.
In the past, the National Council for Culture and Arts has set a mission to “define Mongolian values” and within this goal, 4 goals and 47 measures have been planned, and 78.4 percent of them have been achieved.
Therefore, the National Council for Culture and Arts was established to support the policies and decisions implemented by the Ministry of Culture, to improve the legal environment of the sector, and to jointly address the issues facing the sector. Members of the National Arts Council unanimously expressed their views.
