HISTORY OF THE UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION 80TH ANNIVERSARY

2025-10-24 399

Today marks the historic 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations,  the mission of which is to strengthen peace, cooperation, and prosperity in the world. We extend our sincere congratulations to all UN member states, UN organizations, and staff operating in Mongolia.

October 24, the day the UN Charter came into force, is traditionally celebrated as "UN Day." The UN, which was originally established with 51 member states, has now grown to 193 members and is working together under one goal for the peace, development, and well-being of humanity. To achieve this goal, Mongolia has become an active member of the international community since joining the United Nations in 1961 and has been working with the UN and its specialized organizations in many areas, including education, culture, science, human rights, youth development, and tourism.

Mongolia has been working closely with the UN to implement the “Vision 2050” development policy, the Sustainable Development Goals, and other internationally recognized development and human rights goals and commitments, and is committed to an inclusive, green, peaceful, and equitable future.

We would like to express our deep gratitude for your valuable contributions to strengthening the human resources capacity of the culture, sports, tourism and youth sectors, for implementing targeted projects and programs, and for your support and cooperation in many ways. Together for world peace, unity, sustainable development, and an inclusive green future!

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNITED NATIONS!
