MONGOLIAN ARTISTS AND CURATORIAL TEAM ANNOUNCED FOR THE 61ST VENICE BIENNALE

The artists and curatorial team representing Mongolia at the 61st International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale, to be held in the Italian Republic from May 7 to November 22, 2026, have been officially announced.
Within the framework of implementing Resolution No. 73 of the Government of Mongolia dated February 16, 2022, titled “On Participation in Leading International Festivals,” the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia has been actively organizing the selection of artists and preparing for Mongolia’s participation in the 61st edition of the Biennale.

For this year’s exhibition, the appointed Commissioner representing Mongolia is Ms. O. Baigali, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia and Head of the Working Office. The curatorial team includes curator Dr. Ts. Uranchimeg and co-curator Mr. Thomas Eller. The participating artists are Ms. B. Nomin, Mr. Yo. Tögöldör, Mr. D. Dorjdderem, and Mr. G. Gerelkhüü.
The team will present the project “Connectivities Across Borders,” which highlights professional excellence and innovative artistic approaches. The project aims to express Mongolia’s historical and contemporary cultural development, trends in visual arts, and the unique characteristics of its national heritage, while promoting these elements on the international stage.
