THE FIRST MEETING OF THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF CULTURE AND ART IN 2022

The first meeting of the National Council for Culture and Arts in 2022 is taking place
The first meeting of the National Council for Culture and Arts in 2022, chaired by the Prime Minister of Mongolia, is being held at the Government House today.
The National Council for Culture and Arts was established in 2018 by the Prime Minister's decree and is responsible for making recommendations to determine the current state, vision and development trends of Mongolian culture and arts, and to educate the people and society through culture and arts.
Within the framework of this function, it will meet today to assess the current state of culture and arts in 2022, discuss and approve about 20 action plans in five groups: defining goals, improving the structure of cultural organizations, and educating society.
The meeting was opened by L.Oyun-Erdene, Prime Minister of Mongolia and Chairman of the National Council for Culture and Arts.

He said that the “National Council for Culture and Arts” under the Prime Minister of Mongolia was established in 2018 for the first time. The National Council has begun to work well enough to be the voice of the sector in defining the needs and grounds for establishing a separate Ministry of Culture, independent of the state central administrative body in charge of culture, and to accelerate the reform of the legal environment. Therefore, it is recommended to continue the activities of the National Council.
The new members of the National Council for Culture and Arts met online during the strict quarantine period, providing professional advice and support on major developments in the cultural sector.
This time, the meeting will discuss the draft work plan of the council for 2022 and the development document of Mongolia “Vision 2050” and the development of the cultural sector included in the Government action plan for 2020-2024 ... ”.
Then the Minister of Culture Ch.Nomin introduced the agenda and the meeting continued.
The Chairman of the National Council of Culture and Arts is the Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene, the Deputy Chairman is the Minister of Culture Ch.Nomin, and the “Chinggis Khaan” honored cultural worker of Mongolia G.Mend-Oyo, the Hero of Labor of Mongolia N.Jantsannorov, State Prize of Mongolia, People's Artist N.Suvd, People's Artist of Mongolia N.Tserendagva, Member of the Arts Council Ts.Ariunaa, Honored Artist of Mongolia, Director of the Circus Mongolia Khadgaa Circus Ch.Khatanbaatar It has 38 members.
