CHILDREN’S PICTURE BOOK “JOURNEY THROUGH THE WORLD OF ROCK ART” PUBLISHED IN KOREAN

Within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea through the Asia Culture Center (ACC), the children’s picture book “Journey Through the World of Rock Art” has been published in Korean. The book is co-authored by Mongolia’s Merited Cultural Worker and D. Natsagdorj Prize-winning children’s writer Mr. Oyunbadam Sundui and Korean illustrator Lee Yerin.
The official launch took place at the Asia Culture Center Library on July 17, 2025. Today, the book’s author Mr. Sundui O. and illustrator Lee Yerin held an engaging discussion with children and youth about the creative process of the book at the “Family Hall” of the National Library of Mongolia.
Students from Ulaanbaatar’s General Education Schools No. 14 and No. 47 participated in the event, and copies of the book were donated to the National Library of Mongolia, the Children’s Central Library, and Ulaanbaatar’s public libraries.
In addition, a digital interactive projection inspired by the book has been installed at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum. Children can draw their own rock art, scan their creations and watch as their images come alive in motion on the projection screen. This unique experience allows young visitors to see their artwork animated instantly, immerse themselves in the world of myths and legends and embark on a magical journey through creativity and imagination.
Children interested in exploring this educational and cultural program are invited to participate in “Journey Through the World of Rock Art” at the exhibition hall on the first floor of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum from August 21 to September 4, 2025.
